August Month End Report
Prepared by Annie Lynn Simoy · through September 2New paid-search landing page built and published
LiveBuilt and published a new landing page (plus a supporting services page) purpose-built for a paid advertising campaign for outsourced staffing recruitment.
The page automatically customizes itself based on which ad the visitor clicked: the headline and framing change to match the specific angle of that ad (for example, a visitor coming from an ad about offshore recruiting sees offshore-focused messaging, while a visitor from a sourcing-capacity ad sees that framing instead), and the built-in cost calculator can pre-select the visitor's state based on the ad's targeted location. Everyone still sees the same offer, pricing, and calculator — only the framing at the top of the page adapts to match what brought them there, so the message feels relevant to the specific ad they clicked.
Duplicate About page consolidated
LiveConsolidated a duplicate About Us page into the one live version and added a proper redirect.
Marketing attribution confirmed working
LiveVerified end to end that my system for tracking which ad or page brought in a visitor works correctly through both form submissions and booked calls.
Full site publish to production
LivePublished this batch of work to the live site and ran a complete post-launch check: confirmed the site is properly indexable again, sitemaps and crawl settings are correct, and page-speed/caching regressions from staging are fixed.
Ad account audited and cleaned up
LiveAudited the ad account and cleaned out old, no-longer-useful campaign data and other leftover assets from a prior, unrelated advertiser that were still attached to the account and affecting it.
Targeting audience rebuilt
LiveRebuilt the prospect list used for ad targeting and uploaded it as a targeting audience.
Four ad campaigns built and uploaded
LiveBuilt and uploaded 4 ad campaigns — 11 ad groups in total — with budgets, keywords, ad copy, and site links, and reviewed every line of copy against my no-false-claims policy: came back fully clean. Also uploaded a 780-term negative-keyword list (to keep ads from showing on irrelevant searches), 8 sitelinks, and 10 additional ad-copy assets (callouts and extensions) across the account.
Account settings fixed
LiveFixed misconfigured account-level goals and ad schedule, and turned off automatic recommendation settings that could otherwise silently change ad behavior without a review.
Campaign status
LiveEverything is verified and ready. Campaigns 2–4 are live. Campaign 1 is waiting on its targeting audience to finish processing and will be live within the first week of September.
Conversion tracking set up for paid advertising
LivePublished tracking updates connecting the site to Google Ads so it can now measure real conversions — booked calls, form submissions, phone clicks, and calculator engagement — not just clicks. Verified the tracking actually fires and reaches Google, checked independently of preview/testing mode.
Cleanup
LiveCleaned up a duplicate page element and disabled auto-apply settings that could interfere with tracked results.
HubSpot tracking and custom fields
LiveSet up new tracking fields in my CRM (HubSpot) to capture which ad, source, and search term brought in each lead. These fields are attached to my main contact form so every form submission carries full campaign attribution automatically. For calls booked directly on the calendar (which can't carry every tracking field the way a form can), I built an automated rule that copies over the campaign source information HubSpot's own booking tool does capture, so booked calls report through the same fields as form submissions instead of two disconnected sets of data.
Full site publish
LiveProduction confirmed indexable, with correct sitemaps/metadata and correct caching.
Tracking and conversion setup
LiveLive and verified.

Site navigation and structure rebuilt
LiveRebuilt how the site is organized end to end: a new footer with clear, well-organized columns and working social links; a dedicated hub page for browsing all outsourcing roles by category; and a dedicated hub page for browsing every service location. Both hubs are now linked directly from the main menu and footer, and a navigation bug that let a dropdown menu close before it could be clicked was fixed. Also renamed “Careers” to “Jobs” in the navigation to match how visitors actually search for it, with the old link redirected correctly.
Site-wide link cleanup
LiveFound and corrected 54 outdated internal links across the site left over from earlier structural changes — each one checked individually rather than assumed, since a quick pattern-based fix would have introduced new broken links instead of resolving the old ones.
Location page accuracy pass
LiveReviewed every one of the 64 published location pages against what the service actually includes, and removed a few claims that overstated it (a dedicated account lead, formal data-protection agreements, backup staffing coverage) — replacing them with only what's genuinely part of the offering. Also corrected outdated technical page-identity data left over from an earlier web-address change, and fixed a handful of pages where cost figures weren't displaying with proper formatting.
Major update pushed to the live site
LivePublished the full batch of work above — new navigation, corrected content, cleaned-up links — to the live site, then ran a complete post-launch check: fixed search-engine indexing settings that had carried over incorrectly from staging, verified the sitemap and crawl configuration, rebuilt the site's structured content index for AI search tools, and requested fresh indexing from Google on the homepage and key pages. A follow-up check the next day confirmed everything held: pages loading correctly, cost calculators interactive, no errors.
Conversion tracking confirmed working
LiveConfirmed all three key visitor actions — submitting the contact form, booking a call, and clicking a phone number — are firing correctly and being recorded. Also verified, end to end, that the site's server-side analytics setup (routing tracking data through my own server before it reaches Google, for more reliable and privacy-conscious measurement) is fully configured and working.
July Month-End Report
Prepared by Annie Lynn SimoyAnalytics: found and fixed a silent data-loss bug
LiveTwo weeks into the new analytics setup, I caught a serious but easy-to-miss problem: Google Analytics was reporting zero visitors across all standard reports, even though real traffic was hitting the site the whole time. The cause was a misconfigured tracking setting that caused every single visitor to be silently classified as “internal test traffic” and dropped before it ever reached a report.
Fixed and confirmed the same day — reporting is accurate again as of the fix. One honest caveat: traffic data from that roughly two-week window can’t be recovered after the fact, since it was discarded at the source rather than just hidden. Worth knowing if any traffic reports are pulled for that period.
Brand consistency & site-wide link fixes
Live- Fixed the “Book a Call” button sitewide. A leftover link to an old third-party scheduling tool was still live on 11+ pages (including the homepage). Every one now points to the correct, current Book a Call page. The header’s call-to-action button, which was mislabeled “Get a Free Demo” and pointed at an outdated page, was corrected too.
- Corrected off-brand colors across the site. Several pages had been quietly rendering outdated shades of green and other colors left over from before the current brand palette was finalized — the homepage, About Us, and several service pages now consistently use the official brand colors, including icons and decorative graphics that had been stuck on an old orange accent.
- Applied a consistent “boxed” panel treatment to the dark call-to-action sections directly above the footer on 11 key pages, so they read as a clean, contained panel with visible spacing on every side rather than bleeding straight into the footer.
- Cleaned up a background-color mismatch on the About Us page’s feature cards that had turned an unintended purple-gray after an earlier palette update.
Book a Call page — rebuilt
LiveThe Book a Call page had a technical problem where its booking calendar had stopped working correctly and was showing a broken preview box instead of the real scheduler. I rebuilt the page from the ground up and, while I was in there, fixed several other things visitors would have noticed:
- The booking calendar works correctly again.
- The FAQ section is now always visible instead of hidden behind clicks (easier to read, and better for search visibility).
- A duplicate hidden copy of the FAQ (one for desktop, one for mobile) was merged into one.
- Fixed a duplicate page title, inconsistent button colors, and two “dead” buttons that didn’t go anywhere.
- Rewrote the headline for clarity.
Search visibility & technical health
LiveI ran a full promotion from staging to the live site this month, then did a live-site health pass:
- Found and fixed the reason less than half of all location pages were showing up in the site’s search-engine sitemap — only 30 of 64 published pages were listed, silently, with no visible symptom on the pages themselves. All 64 are now correctly listed and were resubmitted to search engines.
- Caught and fixed the live site accidentally telling Google not to index the homepage, a location page, and the Book a Call page — a setting had carried over incorrectly during the site promotion. Fixed the same day.
- Added machine-readable business information (the kind Google and AI tools read to understand what a page is and who runs the business) across the homepage, About Us, Book a Call page, and every location page — and synced the business’s name, address, phone number, and hours with the official Google Business Profile listing so they match exactly.
- Removed a leftover default WordPress file from the live site (basic security housekeeping).
Accessibility fix
LiveFixed an animation bug where the rotating headline text and a “live visitor count” indicator would flicker/strobe rapidly for any visitor with a specific accessibility setting enabled in their browser or operating system (a setting some visitors — including anyone sensitive to motion — rely on). Animations now correctly respect that setting instead of misfiring.
Blog posts
On staging- Fixed several blog posts where an image was displaying oversized and stretched instead of properly fitted into the page’s two-column layout.
- Fixed a handful of blog posts and location pages that had a staging web address instead of the real one embedded in their hidden page data (invisible to readers, but something search engines read).
- Extended the “Book a Call” link fix above to every already-published blog post, not just new ones.
- Rebuilt a few incomplete blog posts that were missing a section.
- Removed a redundant “Tagged...” label showing at the bottom of blog posts.
- Styled the blog comment section to match the site’s look and feel.
These are confirmed working on my staging site; the next scheduled push will carry them to the live site.

Where We Stand
By workstreamIn Progress / Planned
Google Ads campaign launch- Week 1 (Sept 1–7): Campaign goes live. Monitoring early performance and real-world costs.
- Week 2 (Sept 8–14): Reviewing early results and tuning based on what's actually converting.
- Week 3 (Sept 15–21): Expanding keyword coverage and adding remarketing to reach past visitors who didn't convert the first time.
- Week 4 (Sept 22–28): Continued optimization based on a full month of real performance data.
- Week 5 (Sept 29–30): Closing out Q3 with a performance check-in ahead of the go/no-go review on continued spend.
- Readable campaign reporting: Set up named campaign and ad group labels in my Google Ads reporting so results show up as plain names instead of numeric IDs.
- Services hub page: Build a proper, browsable hub page for all of my service offerings and move the existing service pages under it, matching how roles and industries are already organized.
- Proper cost calculator: Build a dedicated B2B cost-savings calculator, backed by real, current pricing data, to replace the current candidate-facing salary tool — then I'll reconnect that ad sitelink.
- Full attribution on booked calls: Design and test a two-step "quick info, then pick a time" booking flow so every booked call carries full ad-tracking data, closing a current gap on direct calendar bookings.
- One real end-to-end test booking: Confirm the booked-call tracking fires correctly on an actual scheduled call before scaling ad spend further.
- Landing page polish: Continue refining the new landing page's mobile, tablet, and desktop layout — smoothing out a small-phone scroll issue, tablet column behavior, and text alignment across every section.
- Hidden-heading review: Review pages for hidden duplicate headings that could look like search-engine manipulation, replacing them with clean fixes instead of just hiding them.
- Service-claims audit: Audit pages for any remaining inaccurate service claims (like a promised dedicated account manager, which isn't part of the offering), including anything hidden in page metadata a normal content review wouldn't catch, and correct the wording site-wide.
- Consent-banner fix: Resolve a caching bug that can silently break the cookie-consent banner for mobile visitors, a compliance requirement.
- Page-speed rollout: Roll out page-speed optimization (fewer style-sheet requests per page) across staging, after confirming it holds up on both desktop and mobile.
- Search-engine cleanup: Continue cleaning up outdated redirect pages from search indexing and check for any other pages accidentally excluded.
- Rename conversion label: Rename the "Savings calculator completed" tracking label to match what it actually measures — engagement with the calculator, not a completed action.
- Enhanced conversions follow-up: Enhanced-conversions data sharing is currently running in a limited mode — revisit once the offline lead-to-deal import is built.
- Consent compliance check: Verify the tag manager's cookie-consent-law compliance settings are fully up to date.
- Reporting dashboard: Prepare a reporting dashboard for ongoing performance tracking.
- Service pages migration: Once the Services hub page is built, migrate the 7 existing flat service pages under it.
- Second RPO service page: Create a second, broader RPO service page (general recruitment-process-outsourcing, not staffing-agency-specific) as an organic content piece.
- Salary-calculator title fix: Fix a stale page-title bug on the old salary-calculator page.
- Reconnect Savings Calculator sitelink: Once the proper B2B calculator replaces it, I'll reconnect the currently-paused "Savings Calculator" sitelink.
- Content scale: Build and optimize at least 50 new pages/posts.
